Alex has worked in Financial Services for more than 20 years, during which time he has gained numerous qualifications all of which not only added to his knowledge and experience but have enabled him to give his clients professional advice.
His focus has always been to provide clients with holistic financial planning specialising in pensions, investments and tax planning as well as mortgages. Increasing his knowledge has always been paramount and to that end he is currently studying the Diploma in Financial Planning. Like all at Clear, Alex is convinced clients benefit from the increased technical knowledge gained from such qualifications, something Clear place at the core of their business.
Alex's role within Clear has developed since joining and in 2005 Alex became a Director of the business. Alex is part of the Clear Investment Committee. Set up to provide client focused investment analysis the committee researches and recommends investment portfolio holdings for our clients. Meeting on a quarterly basis to discuss their findings Alex's responsibility is to ensure that our investment portfolio recommendations are suited to our clients.
Alex is a Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Personal Finance Society and continues to strive for improvement. A keen advocate of the use of technology Alex is currently working with select clients to provide full online capability, allowing up to the moment financial planning at the touch of a button.
Whilst he continues to study he is also a firm believer that life should be fun as well as hard work. With a hatred of paperwork and he compensates for this by making sure he is surrounded by organised and methodical people – the really smart ones are always in the office!
He is an active member of the Kingston Round Table No. 19 – although something to do with an age rule has been mentioned to him this year! In his younger years he was a keen Rugby player, although now he is only able to support from the touchline he is still an avid follower of the sport.
